Blushing when you see your first crush, embers in a fire, the perfect shade of red lipstick…All of these come to mind when looking at our Color of the Week.

“My grandmother always searched for the perfect shade of red lipstick, because it is her favorite to wear.” Events are celebrations of your life. Sometimes the decor inspiration for an event, whether it is an intimate birthday or grand wedding, comes from something simple, like a memory. When I see this color, Lipstick, this poignant shade or red, I am immediately transported back in time to spending evenings with my grandmother, as she meticulously applied her makeup. She always searched for the perfect shade of red to complement the gown for her event. With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, I thought this was an apt color to use in an event.

In our modern world of fast paced, latte’s-to-go and meetings via Skype, it is a wonder that there is still a little time to celebrate the glitz and glam of yesteryear. Whether you are planning an extravagant wedding or an intimate tea party, Zainido Décor has the ability to transport your guests into another world by creating fantasy with décor.

The unique furniture and décor that can be brought directly to your event location, is now more accessible than ever before. Many people never had a budget to add décor to their event, or the knowledge of how to do so. There is no event too small or budget too minimal; we work with individuals to ensure that their specific needs are met. At Zainido Décor, the goal is to always remain a boutique company which caters to each individual client’s desires and budget. If there is a specialty item a client wants that we do not have, we will try our best to retrieve it. We source everywhere for unique, one-of-a-kind and rare pieces so that everyone can enjoy them. We do not thrive on having pieces in volume; instead we prefer to carry small numbers of pieces which reflect specific eras and color. Color drives our choices when deciding how to re-do our pieces or what we acquire for the product line.


A love of color is something which also drives the founder and owner of Zainido Décor, Dana Lewis. Dana has over ten years of experience in Interior Design, Set Design and Event Design. Her love of vintage pieces, retro and all things old and beautiful, is apparent in her stock of unique décor. Dana pulls inspiration from vintage films of the 60’s, architecture and modern art. This is especially helpful for those who are looking to create an authentic set for a photography shoot, wedding or set design.


We also consider ourselves a green company, because we refurbish and reuse furniture while using eco-friendly material. We aspire to limit our ecological footprint and are always seeking out ways to do so.
